Tour de Peninsula

As the world’s best cyclists tackle the mountains, sprints and endurance tests of the Tour de France this July, we’re bringing our own challenge closer to home with the return of the Tour de Peninsula.

From Monday 6 July to Sunday 26 July, members across Mornington Peninsula Shire Active are invited to take on a fun fitness challenge inspired by one of the world’s most iconic sporting events.

The concept is simple. Every time you visit one of our centres, you’ll collect a star (maximum one per day). Each star represents 20 kilometres travelled around the Mornington Peninsula. Collect nine stars and you’ll complete the full 180km journey.

Whether you’re swimming laps, attending a group fitness class, working out in the gym, enjoying a wellness session or participating in one of our programs, every visit helps move you closer to the finish line.

Unlike the Tour de France, there are no mountain climbs, time trials or yellow jerseys required. This challenge is all about consistency, building healthy habits and staying motivated throughout winter.

It’s also a great opportunity to explore everything your membership has to offer across our five venues. With one membership giving you access to multiple locations, you can mix up your routine, try something new and keep your momentum going throughout the challenge.

Everyone who completes the full Tour de Peninsula will receive an entry into the prize draw, giving you even more reason to stay active this month.

So while the professionals race through France, why not take on your own journey around the Mornington Peninsula?

Challenge yourself, track your progress and see how far your active habits can take you.

Ready to start your Tour de Peninsula? Visit your local centre and begin collecting your stars from Monday 6 July.
