Get Active Expo – Seniors Festival 2026
Kick off our Seniors Festival Get Active Week at the annual Get Active Expo, returning to Somerville Recreation Centre in 2026!
The Get Active Expo is a vibrant community event designed to inspire older adults to explore new ways to stay active, healthy and connected.
Bringing together local health, fitness, wellbeing and community service providers, the Expo offers a fun and engaging day filled with information, experiences and opportunities to connect.
More than just an information expo, attendees can enjoy a variety of interactive activities, including:
- Exercise Physiology advice
- Free health checks, including blood pressure monitoring
- Health and wellbeing seminars
- Group fitness demonstrations and active participation sessions
- Facility tours and information about our health and wellbeing opportunities
- Social sport demonstrations and Come & Try opportunities, including pickleball and walking football
- Information stalls showcasing local programs, services and support networks
- Social activities and passive games designed to encourage connection and community engagement
Whether you’re looking to improve your health, meet new people, discover local services or simply try something new, the Get Active Expo provides something for everyone. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with local providers, gain expert advice and discover activities that support an active and independent lifestyle.
The Expo also marks the official launch of Get Active Week, a week long program of activities delivered across Mornington Peninsula Shire Active facilities as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival. Throughout the week, participants will have the opportunity to attend additional Come & Try sessions and activations at local aquatic and recreation venues.
