Dementia Action Week: Move for Your Brain Health
Dementia Action Week runs from Monday 21 to Sunday 27 September, providing an opportunity to raise awareness, challenge common misconceptions and start important conversations about dementia.
This year, we’re highlighting the important connection between physical activity and brain health. Regular movement can support cardiovascular health, mobility, independence and overall wellbeing, while physical inactivity is recognised as a modifiable risk factor for dementia.
Staying active doesn’t have to mean intense exercise. Walking more often, breaking up long periods of sitting and participating in recreational or community activities are all simple ways to add more movement to your day.
