Interested in Joining a Community Bridge Group?
Mornington Peninsua Shire Active is exploring the possibility of introducing a Community Bridge Group across our Mornington Peninsula leisure centres and we want to hear from you!
Whether you’re an experienced Bridge player, looking to get back into the game or have never played before and would love to learn, we’d like to know if this is something you would be interested in.
We’re also looking to connect with community members who have experience teaching, coordinating or volunteering with Bridge groups and may be interested in getting involved.
Your feedback will help us understand the level of community interest and shape what a future Bridge program could look like across our centres.
What is Bridge?
Bridge is a classic card game played with four people in two teams of two. It combines teamwork, strategy and problem-solving, making it a great way to keep your mind active while enjoying a social game with others.
Each game begins with players bidding to decide which team will aim to win a certain number of rounds, known as tricks. Players then take turns playing a card, working with their partner to achieve their goal. Don’t worry if that sounds complicated — once you learn the basics, it all starts to come together!
You don’t need any previous experience to get involved. Whether you already know how to play or would like to learn from the beginning, a Community Bridge Group could be a great way to meet new people, challenge your mind and enjoy some friendly competition.
